I <3 Random House!

Sometime last year, I borrowed Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor from my local library.  I liked it, and this February, when the paperback came out, I went out and bought a copy. However, since I'd read it recently, it wasn't at the top of my "to read" list.

Last week, after my nanowrimo attempt hit a wall and burst into flames, I decided to read it. When I hit page 207, I discovered my copy didn't have it, or the next 50ish pages. :(

After confirming that Barnes & Noble's 14 day return policy applied to exchanges of defective product for an identical item, I decided to attempt to contact the publisher before I attempted to scam my way round B&N's return policy.

Just heard back from them, and they say they'll be happy to send me a copy if they have one in stock*. :D
I am a little confused on why they needed the ISBN again, since their web page instructed me to send that in the original email, but not a big deal.

Hopefully, the RH love will continue... probably some time next week**.

Since this is the second time I've typed this out, I'm less thrilled with LiveJournal at the moment. If I want to go back to my friends page, I'll tell you. Don't randomly send me back there. >:(

*It's a recent book, so I'm not too worried about that.
**2 days to process, probably Tue. and Wed., plus 5-7 business days for UPS is next Thur. *crosses fingers*
